Hello! We ship everyday. On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day.
Here is our detailed shipping policy.
Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS.
PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time.
We do NOT cover import fees or duties if shipping out of the USA. Tariffs/duties have NOTHING to do with our company, we have no control over them.

Returns are accepted for damaged items and we will send you a return label. Returns for any other reason are accepted within 14 days (30 days for international) at YOUR return shipping expense, and will be processed with a restocking fee of 10% to cover Shopify cc fees.

Easy to Sew
This black moonglow vinyl sews beautifully on a standard domestic sewing machine. Use a size 80 chrome universal needle or a Microtex needle for extra ease. A Teflon foot may help but isn’t always necessary.

What size is each piece?
Each piece is 17.75" x 53.5", factory cut — enough for a medium-to-large bag or multiple accessories.
Is this vinyl shiny?
No — Moonglow has a distinctive matte, pebbled finish with no sheen or glare. It gives projects a premium, leather-like look without the shine of standard vinyl.
Can I sew this on a home sewing machine?
Yes! Use a size 80 chrome universal needle or Microtex needle. A Teflon foot can help but isn’t always necessary — this vinyl sews smoothly on domestic machines.
Do I need interfacing?
It depends on your project. For structured bags, interface with Sew Hippie foam, Sew Hippie fusible foam, SHH Fusible Woven, left over batting, or fusible fleece. For a slouchy style, you can skip it entirely.
Is this vinyl sticky or adhesive-backed?
No — this is a non-adhesive faux leather vinyl designed for sewing, not sticking.
Can I iron this vinyl?
Avoid direct heat on the matte surface. If pressing is needed, use a Teflon pressing sheet and heat on the reverse side.
What patterns work well with Moonglow Black?
Any SewHungryhippie vinyl-compatible pattern works great. The Santorini Tote is a fan favorite, and the Madison, Arlo, Andy, and Donovan bags are all excellent choices too.

The Moonglow vinyl is very easy to sew. Sewing with vinyl is new to me, and I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely the vinyl sews using Natalie’s tips. I really like how the textured vinyl elevates the look of my bags.

Moonglow Black vinyl
I thought the moonglow was going to be shiny but thought it would work for what I wanted. Surprisingly it was better because it is black & will be perfect for any bag.
Honestly, I'm not that knowledgeable where vinyl is concerned...but out of ALL the vinyl I have had the opportunity to work with, it has been put to shame by Moonglow! I bought the black and the taupe, and they just feel so amazing to work with! They are easy to manipulate when sewing AND when "birthing" bags and pouches. And the color was exactly what I was hoping for in person! They are matte, but with a glow to them. I guess that's why they're named Moonglow lol! Beautiful! They are my new fave, I can't wait to see if any other colors come out, and I can not wait to buy some more!!
