Hello! We ship everyday. On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day.

Here is our detailed shipping policy.

Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS. 

PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time. 

We do NOT cover import fees or duties if shipping out of the USA. Tariffs/duties have NOTHING to do with our company, we have no control over them. 

Tracking info is ALWAYS sent by email as soon as the label is printed. Check your junk or promotions folders; it could have landed in one of them. 

Free shipping is offered for domestic customers, on orders over $125. This is a ONE TIME ORDER offer.

The deep gusset creates generous storage and helps the finished bag sit upright on a surface. A lined front zipper pocket, interior slip pockets, and adjustable strap make the Andy Bag a practical everyday carry-all. Experienced sewists can personalize the interior or add extra zipper pockets.

Approximately 11.5 in. wide × 9 in. high × 5 in. deep.

Materials needed

  • 18 × 52 in. of Sew Hungry Hippie vinyl
  • 1 yard quilting cotton for the lining
  • 1–2 yards fusible woven interfacing depending on fabric width
  • One 1.25 in. Andy Bag hardware pack: 2 D-rings, 2 swivel hooks, and 1 slider
  • 30 in. of #5 zipper tape and 2 zipper pulls
  • Two metal zipper ends
  • Corners, Curves & Rivets Template
  • Double-sided sticky tape
  • Nylon mallet
  • Optional: 2 rivets

Recommended bag-making tools

For easier sewing and a polished result, keep a Teflon non-stick sewing foot, Teflon pressing sheet, Chrome Microtex needles, nylon mallet, double-sided sticky tape, an iron, and an Easy Point & Press tool handy.

I just liked the look of this bag. I haven’t made it yet, because of other projects I’m working on. I definitely will make it some time this year. I also like the fact I could down load it to my I pad as postage can become pricey. I live in Indiana and took a class from Sara Lawson. I watched her show when Natalie was on and got hooked once again. I really enjoy her shows on you tube.

This was a great pattern

The Andy bag is fairly straight forward. It's a good size bag and the recessed zipper was the easiest installation I've ever done. I think almost anyone with basic sewing skills, could make this bag.
