Shipping & Returns

We ship Mon-Thursday and some Fridays. Please know USPS and UPS often say "delivered" but it takes an additional day or two for the package to actually BE delivered --yes, it's annoying! We have to deal with this every single day, this is not in our control.

On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day.

Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS.

Did you know we will send a return label to you for returning items? When people "refuse" a delivery, it costs us triple the original postage to claim the parcel back. PLEASE DO NOT do this! EMAIL US or call us so we can handle it. Our contact page is here.

PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time.  If you file a chargeback on a preorder I will ban you from my website for the rest of time. I've only had to do this once, but it is totally rediculous to make up a story about arrival times when it is NOT in my control. WE DO NOT HOLD BACK items- there is NO ROOM or time to do this. I've stayed until midnight shipping preorders because they arrive at 5pm, just to get them out the door. BE COOL or be banned for life.

We do NOT cover import fees or duties if shipping out of the USA. Tariffs/duties have NOTHING to do with our company, we have no control over them. 

Tracking info is ALWAYS sent by email as soon as the label is printed. Check your junk or promotions folders; it could have landed in one of them. 

Free shipping is offered for domestic customers, on orders over $125. This is a ONE TIME ORDER offer.

Returns are accepted for damaged items and we will send you a return label. Returns for any other reason are accepted within 14 days (30 days for international) at YOUR return shipping expense, and will be processed with a restocking fee of 10% to cover Shopify cc fees.

Rainbow Geometric Vinyl – Sewing Vinyl for Bag Making

Rainbow Geometric Vinyl is a faux leather vinyl, made for sewing bags, pouches, wallets and accessories on a home sewing machine.

It has a soft backing with a similar feel to cork.

What size is each piece?

Each piece measures 18" x 54" and is 0.6mm thick.

Can I sew it on a home sewing machine?

Yes. Use a Microtex 80/12 needle and lengthen your stitch to about 3–3.5mm. A Teflon or walking foot helps it feed smoothly. Hold layers with clips instead of pins.

Do I need interfacing?

It depends on your project. For a structured bag, add Sew Hippie foam or fusible foam; for a slouchy style, skip it.

Can I iron it?

Don't touch a hot iron to the front. Press from the wrong side with a Teflon pressing sheet, or flatten seams with a seam pounder.

Is this the same as adhesive craft vinyl?

No. This is sewing vinyl for bags and accessories – it has no adhesive backing and isn't meant for cutting machines like Cricut.

The picture of this vinyl fabric does not nearly do it justic. It is gorgeous!! The lines have a shiny metallic look which just pops. I have loved everything i have received from SewHungryHippie. There customer service is amazing!

Beautiful and Soft

This vinyl is amazing! It is so much more vibrant in person. It is also soft and pliable. It’s more like a cork or synthetic leather material than a vinyl just like the description notes. It is substantial in feel, and the backing has a nice feel. I would not hesitate to recommend!

Wonderful Colors

I was more than pleased with this fabric. When I first saw it I knew I had to have it. Once I received it, I was bowled over by the colors, the texture, and the overall geometric design. So many possibilities, so many colors that can be coordinated. I think I have settled on making a hobo bag like the Estrella with a side panel of one of the colors as an eye catcher, but honestly I have not yet made up my mind. I love this vinyl and will probably end up ordering more to keep in my newly established stash. Natalie and Michelle have been a big influence in my taking up sewing again, after over 40 years. Glorious!

I debated between this one and the silver and ended up getting both because I just could not choose only one. I've yet to sew it, but ohhhh boy, when I decide what to make, I know it'll be wonderful.
