The nylon mallet is a game changer. Go weight to its modest size. Makes the substrate more pliable than what I’ve been able to accomplish with my hands. Good investment!

I’m so proud to say that I installed my very first lining zipper today with the help of Natalie’s tutorial and the zipper template. The template is by far the most amazing tool and made this process go that much smoother. My bobbin thread ran out in the process so I do have an extra few stitches on the top row, but the bag is for me so it’s not going to bother me.
I’m so hooked!!!
The red is wonderful I liked it so much I ordered a second package of it. This is so easy to see and can be used inside or outside any bag.
I really like the quilted vinyl. It gave the sides of my bag excellent structure. I didn't get a good picture of the sides, but you can see it.
