Hello! We ship everyday. On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day.
Here is our detailed shipping policy.
Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS.
PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time.
We do NOT cover import fees or duties if shipping out of the USA. Tariffs/duties have NOTHING to do with our company, we have no control over them.

Returns are accepted for damaged items and we will send you a return label. Returns for any other reason are accepted within 14 days (30 days for international) at YOUR return shipping expense, and will be processed with a restocking fee of 10% to cover Shopify cc fees.

What size is each piece?
Each piece is approximately 18" x 54", precut at the factory. This is enough for a medium-to-large structured bag or multiple smaller accessories.
Do I need interfacing with this vinyl?
No — the 1mm thickness and soft backing provide built-in structure. No additional interfacing is required, which simplifies your cutting and construction process.
Can I sew this on a home sewing machine?
Yes! Use a Microtex 80/12 needle and a Teflon non-stick foot for the smoothest results. It sews beautifully on domestic machines.
Is this vinyl sticky or adhesive-backed?
No — this is a non-adhesive faux leather vinyl designed for sewing. The soft backing helps it glide through your machine without sticking.
Can I iron this quilted vinyl?
Avoid direct heat on the vinyl surface. If pressing is needed, use a Teflon pressing sheet heat on the reverse (backing) side.
What bag patterns work well with this?
Any SewHungryhippie pattern written for vinyl or cork is a great match — the Madison, Arlo, Andy, and Donovan bags all work beautifully with quilted vinyl.
Is this the same as the quilted vinyl in other colors?
Yes — same premium pre-quilted construction, just in navy blue. Check the store for other available colors including Red and Light Brown (Cinnamon).
This quilted vinyl is beautiful — It is so luxurious in person (the pictures really don’t show you how lovely it really is). Working with it was easy — just remember if you go to fuse an interfacing to it to use a pressing cloth and have your iron at a medium heat or you risk damaging it!
I’m putting together my bags now..so it isn’t completed yet, ..but I think it is really makes my focus fabric look even better!!it was even easy to sew with. I’m loving the combination so much, that I’m already using the remaining quilted vinyl for a purse for my sister! Can’t wait to share pictures with you!
I really like the quilted vinyl. It gave the sides of my bag excellent structure. I didn't get a good picture of the sides, but you can see it.

I purchased the quilted vinyl and made a large Santorini travel bag for myself. The vinyl was a breeze ro sew! I did not use any type of stabilizer and made a SHH canvas lining. The bag stands up nicely!! Sew HungryHippie’s vinyl is the best to sew on!! I just used the microtex chrome needles and it all worked out great!! I love this vinyl!!!
