Hello! We ship everyday. On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day.
Here is our detailed shipping policy.
Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS.
PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time.
We do NOT cover import fees or duties if shipping out of the USA. Tariffs/duties have NOTHING to do with our company, we have no control over them.

Returns are accepted for damaged items and we will send you a return label. Returns for any other reason are accepted within 14 days (30 days for international) at YOUR return shipping expense, and will be processed with a restocking fee of 10% to cover Shopify cc fees.

The Joni Bag is an easy to sew all canvas tote that can easily be customized. The classic shape is perfect to haul your stuff between work and home, to carry lunches, diapers, extra set of clothes, and whatever else.
Use Joni as a Farmer's Market tote with the cross-body strap option.
This is a VIDEO tutorial, meaning the pdf instructions are sparse without photos and diagrams because the video is included and we are expecting you to use the video the first time through.
This is a fast make, and simple enough that once through you are good with the text only sheet. See student projects here.
Finished size: 12.5" W x 9.5"H
Materials needed: 1/2 yard for exterior and 1/2 yard for lining

I never did a video follow along pattern thing before but it was really good! Natalie knocked out of the park with this pattern. Everything was easy to follow and only took a few hours from beginning to end.

I'm so glad I over-rode my inner voice ("you don't need another pattern") and purchased this pattern. As always, Natalie makes it easy to make a beautiful bag. For this pattern, the main instructions are provided through a video. The pattern also includes a page of basic instructions and cut measurements. Natalie suggests watching the entire video before sewing your first Joni (there will be many Joni's in your future). After watching and sewing your first tote you'll likely only need quick reminders for some steps to complete those future makes.
If this is your first gusset style bag you will find the fit and Natalie's instructions will allow you to successfully add this style of bag to your bag-making-skill-set!
Natalie has a way of vibing her expertise so you have the confidence you need to make your own beautiful bag!
Joni tote was a very easy tote to sew up and the video was great to sew along with. I made my straps 4 inches longer. I used SHH ‘donkey’ fabric to make separate small inside pockets. Very cute !

One can use fabric for the
outer and lining to make it is a really classy bag. There enough opportunity with bag to make it your own.
Can always count on Natalie to offer the best bags out there. I have not made it yet but when I saw it shown for the first time, I immediately ordered it. So many variations are possible, I believe it will be one of my "go to" patterns.

The Joni tote is so fun to make. I needed a bag to put all of my shopping bags in. My granddaughters call my Joni tote a Bag of Bags! I just grab it out of the trunk and in to the grocery store, vegetable market, wherever - I go! It makes me smile and definitely helps me stay organized!
