Hello! We ship everyday. On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day.
Here is our detailed shipping policy.
Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS.
PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time.
We do NOT cover import fees or duties if shipping out of the USA. Tariffs/duties have NOTHING to do with our company, we have no control over them.

Returns are accepted for damaged items and we will send you a return label. Returns for any other reason are accepted within 14 days (30 days for international) at YOUR return shipping expense, and will be processed with a restocking fee of 10% to cover Shopify cc fees.

Sew a practical everyday laptop carrier with the Garcia Messenger Bag PDF sewing pattern from Sew Hungry Hippie. This structured messenger bag combines a secure front flap with generous exterior and interior pockets for organized, hands-free carrying.
A large front zipper pocket keeps smaller essentials easy to reach, while the magnetic snap secures the main flap. Two exterior slip pockets and two interior slip pockets provide additional storage without adding unnecessary bulk.

Finished bag size
Approximately 14 in. wide × 12 in. high × 2.5 in. deep.
The pattern can be enlarged using your printer settings if you want a larger finished messenger bag.
Materials needed
For easier sewing and a polished result, keep a Teflon non-stick sewing foot, Teflon pressing sheet, Chrome Microtex needles, nylon mallet, double-sided sticky tape, iron, and an Easy Point & Press tool handy.
- 1 roll of Sew Hungry Hippie vinyl when using Sew Hungry Hippie leather straps instead of vinyl straps; Sew Hungry Hippie webbing also works
- 1 pack of WRC, or quilting cotton
- One 16 in. Sew Hungry Hippie zipper and 1 zipper pull
- Two 1 in. swivel hooks
- Optional: one 1 in. adjustable strap buckle
- One 3/4 in. magnetic snap
- Two 1 in. rectangle rings; D-rings can also be used

A perfect travel companion. I made my bag with navy bonded nylon. This fabric was the best My bag is very professional looking. I just love it. I thought the bonded would be slippery,but it’s not it was very easy to work with. I lined my bag with Tula Pink.
