Shipping & Returns

Hello! We ship everday and some Saturdays. On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day. If we take a short break for vacation, it is announced ahead of time on all social media channels and in the newsletter. Are you signed up for my emails? They often contain treasures!  

Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS. While mistakes with the Carriers are rare, they do happen and it's best to have full coverage.

PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time. Make a separate order if you need in-stock items sooner. Thanks!!

We DO ship to Canada & most other European countries, also Australia and New Zealand through USPS or UPS if you choose it. We do NOT cover import fees. 

Tracking info is ALWAYS sent by email as soon as the label is printed. Check your junk or promotions folders; it could have landed in one of them. After the initial tracking entry when the label is printed, additional tracking updates are provided by the carrier. Follow the tracking link you received by email to check the status on the carrier's site.
Free shipping is offered for domestic customers, on orders over $125.

Our mail system is pretty amazing when compared to the rest of the world and we are so grateful to the Carriers that make it happen! 

Vinyl is usually rolled and either wrapped in tissue or a protective bag, and sent that way. Some vinyl (soft metallic and moonglow for example) can be folded without causing damage, you can opt to iron it from the back side as well.  In any case, if your vinyl arrives with wrinkles you can simply place it in the sunshine OR use a hair dryer to warm it flat again, or iron it (wrong side only). If you think your vinyl is damaged, please email me and I will take care of you. 😊

**Soft metallic vinyl, Stardust, croc, and Moonglow vinyl CAN be ironed from the wrong side. See my Guide for Sewing Vinyl for more info.

Returns are accepted for damaged items and we will send you a return label. Returns for "changing your mind" are accepted at YOUR return shipping expense, and will be processed with a restocking fee of 10%

Product Description

The Curio Case PDF instant download pattern is here! Original design by Dayna Thwaits, written by Natalie Santini. 

This super cute round case has a large zipper opening circumfrating (LOL) the case, a top easy-grip handle, and can be made with soft vinyl, quilting cotton, canvas, linen, and duck cloth.   

Cover photos are made with soft vinyl in seafoam, purple, and deep space, all in the shop under SOFT VINYL.

Interfacing can be adjusted to your preferences; we used SF101 and fusible fleece on ours. 

The finished size is approx 5" in diameter, 3.5" in height.  

Video walk-through is provided as a general guide in case you need it

Supplies:

Two fat quarters of fabric will make a complete Curio Case with a bit left over.

Love SHH patterns - Curio Case is definitely Cute!

The Curio Case pattern was really easy to follow. I'm only a learner sewer so I purposely chose this pattern to teach me more techniques than a standard zipper pouch. It was great - yes I had to undo a few bits, but that was part of my learning. I will be making more of these.

Curio Case

This is such a cute little case. It was very easy to make, except for the binding. I’m not good at binding, so I had a hard time getting the binding done. I gave up trying to make it look good and ended up serging it instead. It looks really good on the outside. I need to take the time to work on binding and I’m sure the next time I make one of these it will look a lot better.

Great pattern

This is a great pattern! Directions are concise and easy to understand. The way the zipper is out in still amazes me that I was able to do it so easily! It looks SO professional! And I did it! Used vinyl purchased from this shop and the results were amazing!
