Hello! We ship everyday. On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day.
Here is our detailed shipping policy.
Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS.
PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time.
We do NOT cover import fees or duties if shipping out of the USA. Tariffs/duties have NOTHING to do with our company, we have no control over them.
If we made a mistake on your order OR if something arrives damaged, email us so we can fix it. The Sew Hungryhippie team strives for perfect but we are humans & are training new employees... Thank you for your grace. help@sewhungryhippie.com
Returns are accepted for damaged items and we will send you a return label. Returns for any other reason are accepted within 14 days (30 days for international) at YOUR return shipping expense, and will be processed with a restocking fee of 10% to cover Shopify cc fees.

The Wendy Backpack sewing pattern is meant specifically for transparent vinyl only.

Med 15" x 16" x 4"
Full 16.5" x 18.5" x 5" Please note the large is REALLY LARGE! 😂
-3 size options Small, Med, Large
small : perfect for a child's backpack or a woman's purse
med : good for day trips or if you're a person that likes to have a bigger sized purse
large : (very large- great for stadium events where you want to pack a blanket and hat/gloves/etc...)
Materials, Supplies & Tools (full size):
- Two rolls (18” x 52”) 10 gauge vinyl or 1 full yard
- Two pieces 6” x 10” stretchy mesh for side pockets
- One package Wright’s Extra-Wide double-fold binding tape or approximately 3 yards.
- TEFLON or non-stick sewing foot (critical for optimal success)
- Universal Chrome sewing needles either size 80 or 90
- Gutermann all-purpose poly blend thread or other poly blend thread that is strong, cotton thread is not advised for sewing vinyl.
- Marking tool or eraseable pen or sharpie. (If using a sharpie you’ll need acetone nail polish remover or alcohol wipes to erase it after bag completion.)
- Webbing: 2.5 yards (I highly recommend 1 1/2” width heavy duty webbing.)
- One 30” double-headed zipper (handbag preferred - they have wider tape 4.5 or 5mm).
- Two D-rings 1 1/2” width
- Two adjustable sliders 1 1/2” width
- (Optional) lobster clasp key ring holder 1/2” width
- Hairdryer for turning vinyl RSO with ease
