Hello! We ship everyday. On US Federal Holidays no mail moves - you *may* see a label print, but it will leave the next mailing day.
Here is our detailed shipping policy.
Please keep shipping insurance (Package Protection) in your cart. If you take it out, you will have to file your own claim with USPS or UPS.
PRE ORDERS ship as stated in the listing -- usually these take some time to arrive. IF YOU COMBINE in stock items with a preorder they will ship TOGETHER at one time.
We do NOT cover import fees or duties if shipping out of the USA. Tariffs/duties have NOTHING to do with our company, we have no control over them.

Returns are accepted for damaged items and we will send you a return label. Returns for any other reason are accepted within 14 days (30 days for international) at YOUR return shipping expense, and will be processed with a restocking fee of 10% to cover Shopify cc fees.

Make a roomy, zip-top tote in your favorite fabric with the Santorini Tote printed bag sewing pattern from Sew Hungry Hippie. This beginner-friendly tote pattern includes clear instructions for three useful sizes and works beautifully with vinyl, cork, canvas, faux leather, duck cloth, upholstery fabric, or quilting cotton.
Choose a purse, everyday tote, or large carryall, then customize it with your favorite straps and optional exterior or interior zipper pockets. It is a versatile project for learning practical bag-making skills while creating a tote you will actually use.

Finished sizes
- Purse: approximately 15.5 × 11 × 5 inches
- Regular: approximately 19 × 13 × 5 inches
- Large: approximately 21 × 14 × 6 inches
Please note: Pattern pieces are not included in the printed booklet. The pieces are rectangles designed to be measured and cut using the dimensions in the instructions. Finished measurements may vary slightly depending on the depth of your bottom corners.
Suggested materials
Purse and regular sizes:
- 1/2 yard focus fabric, such as quilting cotton, canvas, duck cloth, vinyl, upholstery fabric, or faux leather, or one 18 × 54-inch roll of vinyl
- 1 yard quilting cotton for the lining and optional pockets
- One main zipper, cut to the size given in the instructions
- One to four 13-inch zippers for optional pockets
- 1 yard foam interfacing or fusible fleece
- 1.5 yards fusible woven interfacing for the lining and optional pockets
Large size:
- 1 yard focus fabric, or one 18 × 54-inch roll of vinyl
- 1.5 yards lining fabric for the lining and pockets
- One 22-inch main zipper
- One to four 13-inch zippers for optional pockets
- 1.25 yards foam interfacing, Decovil Light, or fusible fleece
- 2 yards fusible woven interfacing or equivalent

I am an experienced bag maker, who recently discovered the Santorini tote on a Facebook ad. I love the professional look of the bag and couldn’t wait to make one. I made my first bag with materials. I already had, including a cork bottom and it turned out so beautifully, I actually gifted it! Then I got on her website to look at vinyl and ordered a large stash of various colors. I have only made one tote, but another is in progress. I do recommend watching some of the YouTube videos Natalie has on bag making. It helped me so much as this was my first project with foam and first front facing zip pocket.
