Tips for Sewing Vinyl Baskets
- Use a Teflon foot — vinyl sticks to a regular presser foot; a Teflon or walking foot glides right over it
- Skip the pins — pins leave permanent holes in vinyl; use wonder clips or binding clips instead
- Lengthen your stitch — a longer stitch length (3–3.5mm) works best with vinyl using a Microtex needle
- Don't iron the right side — always iron vinyl from the wrong side or use a Teflon pressing sheet
