Here is a free PDF for a mini quilt I based on my Love is Love quilt. It features Neon Pink equal signs as a reminder that Women's Rights are Human Rights.
"Rights that promote a position of legal and social equality
of women with men" per definition.
Too often I hear people remarking that "we are equal, what's the problem?"..... I am happy to share my experiences while stationed in countries across the world when I served in the Army, if you need examples of inequality I've witnessed and experienced. A conversation is always welcome.
I encourage you to read and question everything- get your information from multiple sources including sources outside the US such as the BBC news. Biased information is rampant, and we have to be smart enough to discern truth from propaganda. This is not a lecture, it's a reminder, myself included. xoxo
The back is a vinyl cutout file I made in Silhouette software with the guidance of my friend Leslie R. I'm happy to share this file if you'd like it.
The fist represents the Power of Women. When united and standing together, we can create change and make the world a better place, just as so many before us have done.
"Equality for women isn't a women's issue. When women fulfill their potential, everyone benefits. Equality means better politics, a more vibrant economy, a workforce that draws on the talents of the whole population and a society at ease with itself." (WomensEquality.Uk.Org)
