Watch me design a new pattern here!
When I create a new pattern, I often go through several iterations and test sews. I like to get a "real-life" example in my hands so I know if it's truly going to work or not.
I will start with an idea in my head, and start sewing. Often I have to pivot and rethink the techniques, to make them easier or less complicated. Most times my first sample is NOT what I wanted. I think this is normal, and I don't beat myself up about it. For me, it's part of the process.
I have sped up this video so it's not boring, because I talked to myself A LOT. LOL!!! I hope it can inspire you to just GO FOR IT and start sewing. Mistakes are part of the process.
I do show quilting the vinyl - which is a really fun aspect and can change the look of your bags. I think it elevates the look tremendously.
Have fun, PEACE/LOVE/SEWING! -Natalie
